Three (3) Teams from the Inspection Committee of the DA-Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) conducted an inspection of newly procured Small Scale Composting Facilities on April 21 to April 25, 2025.

A total of 26 SSCF units were inspected in Region II and CAR Region. These facilities will help manage biodegradable waste, support sustainable waste management practices, and enable the production of compost fertilizer for agricultural use.

The BSWM Inspection Team, were Mr. Jaime Pascual, Engr. Arlyn Cabaruan, Ms. Majilheta M. Acdal, Mr. Roy Bercero, Ms. Arrianna Faye Datul, Mr. Benedict A. Dela Cruz, Ms. Visitacion Castillo, Mr. RG Breganza, and Ms. Rose Ann P. Enriquez.

This inspection is a key step in ensuring that the facilities will function as intended and assist farmer beneficiaries in effectively managing waste while producing valuable compost fertilizer for their agricultural activities. The goal is also to ensure that these facilities met the required technical specifications and were ready for use by the farmer beneficiaries.
