“The end of every OJT journey brings students closer to their future careers.”

On February 24, 2025, the BSWM held an Exit Conference cum Feedback Session of On-the-Job Training (OJT) of five (5) BS Agriculture Major in Soil Science students from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) North La Union Campus. The feedback session serves as the ideal culminating activity of the students’ OJT experience. It served as a way for interns, their BSWM mentors, and faculty to comment on the students’ accomplishments, challenges, and growth during their internship with BSWM. The activity was facilitated by Ms. Diana Rose C. Salinas and Mr. Elvis U. Antonio Jr. of the Personnel Section, and attended by Assistant Director Denise A. Solano, Ms. Nancy C. De Sagun, Head of Personnel Section, Mr. Sandy B Abiad, Sr. Agriculturist of the Soils Survey Division and Mr. Christian Jay P. Watson and Ms. Donna S. Cariaso of DMMMSU.

The interns presented their key takeaways followed by feedback from their mentors. The activity concluded with a simple awarding ceremony of Certificates of Completion to the five (5) Interns. The DMMMSU also presented a Certificate of Appreciation for BSWM and it was received by Asst. Dir. Denise A. Solano on behalf of Dr. Gina P. Nilo. Both organizations expressed gratitude for the collaboration and reinforced their partnership toward enhanced student learning. The BSWM is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field of Soil Science and the feedback gathered from the interns will continue to guide BSWM’s efforts in improving the internship journey for future students.
