The Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM), participated in the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Procurement Workshop for Effective Implementation held on March 31 and April 2, 2025, at the ADB Philippines Training Facility. The attendees from the BSWM was headed by Assistant Director Denise A. Solano, along with Dr. Dante E. Margate, Engr. Alberto E. De Guzman, Engr. Patrick Benson B. Espanto, Engr. Phoebe P. Pua, and Ms. France Josephine C. Bautista.


The Workshop aimed to strengthen institutional capacity by providing participants with knowledge of ADB Procurement Policy and Regulations, which serve as the governing framework for the procurement of project requirements under the ADB-DA Agreement. The Training was facilitated by the ADB Sector Group – Agriculture, Food, Nature, and Rural Development (SG-AFNR) and Procurement, Portfolio, and Financial Management Department (PPFD), ensuring alignment with international best practices and compliance with procurement standards essential for the effective and transparent execution of ADB-funded projects.









This engagement proves BSWMโs commitment to enhancing procurement proficiency, promoting efficiency and accountability, and ensuring the successful implementation of projects that support the countryโs agricultural development and sustainability goals towards a Masaganang Bagong Pilipinas.
