Contract of Service (COS) Personnel hired from January 2024 were provided with Orientation about the BSWM on 10 October 2024, at the BSWM Function Hall and online via Zoom.

A total of 38 COS Personnel participated in the activity which focused on the discussion about the BSWM Organization – the overview of its Mission, Vision, and Core Functions; the BSWM Core Values on Patriotism, Integrity, Excellence, and Spirituality (PIES); and the BSWM Organizational Structure, by Ms. Georgina Carmelle Z. Siena – Information Office Head; the BSWM Quality Policy by Engr. Phoebe P. Pua – Deputy Quality Manager (Technical); Office Policies/Regulations and Processes by Ms. Nancy C. De Sagun – Personnel Section Head; Safety/Security and Workplace Standards by Mr. Crisaldo C. Solano – Building and Grounds Administration Head; and Finance Processes for Payment of Allowable Claims by Ms. Judy Ann C. Buhat – Accounting Section Representative.

These COS Personnel are assigned at the different Technical Divisions, Research Centers, and Administrative Units of the BSWM. This COS Orientation is regularly being held by the BSWM through the Personnel Section headed by Ms. Nancy C. De Sagun, guided by the BSWM Management headed by Director Gina Parde-Nilo, Ph.D. and Assistant Director Denise A. Solano.

The orientation for new hires is one of the important steps in making them familiar with the policies, culture, and roles. This also allows them to integrate into the BSWM, giving them that sense of belongingness as part of the organization.
