The five days Exchange Visit Program between the Philippines and the Kingdom of Thailand reflects our shared commitment to advancing sustainable agricultural development and effective natural resource management. It aims to strengthen technical cooperation by promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences in soil and water conservation, geospatial technologies, information and communications technology (ICT), agricultural research, and soil laboratory analysis. These areas are essential for improving planning, productivity, and climate resilience across our agricultural landscapes.
Technical discussions, site visits, and collaborative demonstrations provided an opportunity to showcase each country’s innovations and best practices while fostering long-term partnerships. The presence of experts from both sides, from cartography and to soil science and land use planning, underscores the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in achieving food security and environmental sustainability.
This initiative also supports broader efforts in capacity building, research cooperation, and technology transfer, paving the way for continued collaboration beyond this visit.
