Pilot-Testing of Sustainable Land Management (SLM) Module for Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) Formulation and Training of Trainers under the DENR-UNDP/GEF Biodiversity Corridor Project on 9-11 October 2024 at Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Davao City.

The DA-BSWM through the collaborative efforts of Agricultural Land Management and Evaluation Division (ALMED), Geomatics and Soil Information Technology Division (GSITD), Laboratory Services Division (LSD), and Soil Conservation and Management Division (SCMD) successfully provided technical assistance in the Training of Trainers to upscale the integration of SLM to CLUP.

This activity was organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Forest Management Bureau (DENR-FMB) and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DSHUD), inviting participants from DSHUD Regional Offices and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office that are considered as biodiversity corridor. The invited participants are planners that plays significant role in the preparation and approval of CLUPs. Knowledge imparted from the BSWM could eventually contribute to the development of holistic modules for LGUs as guide in local land use planning ensuring a sustainable sectoral development.
