In line with the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Project (MBRP), the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) through the Soil Conservation and Management Division (SCMD) conducted topographic survey, soil sample collection, and socioeconomic survey in a proposed Sustainable Land Management Exemplar Site (SLMES) in Barangay Pinulot, Dinalupihan, Bataan on February 17-21, 2025. 

During the week-long field work, the team led by Engr. Jemar G. Raquid was able to survey a total of 3.75 hectares using the prismless total station. Soil samples were also collected to examine the present condition of the area. Moreover, farmer-cooperators were interviewed about their farming background to gather pertinent data for the project. 

The proposed SLMES will serve as a farm that exemplifies Sustainable Land Management (SLM) practices in managing agricultural resources and is expected to be established in the second semester of the current year and

The DA-BSWM is headed by Director Gina P. Nilo, Ph.D. and Assistant Director Denise A. Solano. Meanwhile, Engr. Eduardo V. Alberto serves as the current Chief of SCMD. The BSWM is the nationally mandated agency on the sustainable management of soil and water resources for agriculture.
