During the 2nd day of the 5th General Assembly of the Philippine National Soil Laboratory Network (PhilNASOLAN) in San Fernando, Pampanga, DA-BSWM Director and PhilNASOLAN Chair Gina Parde-Nilo, Ph.D. awarded certificates and tokens of appreciation to licensed soil laboratories and recognized new PhilNASOLAN members.

Additionally, a Ceremonial Turnover of ICT equipment, laboratory tools, and furniture was conducted by Dr. Nilo, alongside BSWM Laboratory Services Division Chief Maribel R. Jalalon and BSWM Property Management Unit Head Jodie L. Rico. These turnover and donations aim to strengthen the capabilities of Regional Soil Laboratories and academic institutions in supporting soil health improvement.

Lastly, a breakout session was also held, providing an opportunity to review and assess the previous work of each laboratory, as well as to identify their specific needs, opportunities, and necessary actions moving forward.
