The Philippines, as one of the Country Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), is granted with a Global Environment Facility (GEF)-funded project under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) entitled “Strengthening National-level Institutional and Professional Capacities of Country Parties towards enhanced UNCCD monitoring and reporting”.
- Trainings conducted at national level by GEF-eligible countries for domestication of standardized tools for data collection and for quality assurance guidelines for the UNCCD reporting cycle
- National Report to UNCCD compiled and validated with participation of key stakeholders
To enhance national-level institutional and technical capacities for the 2021-2022 UNCCD reporting process in the context of the UNCCD Strategic Framework 2018-2030 and SDG15.3
