While it ensures efficient delivery of services for the stakeholders, the DA-Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) also makes it a point to provide its employees with sufficient life skills. Thus, the DA-BSWM Occupational Safety and Health Committee organized seminars on Mandatory Eight (8)-hour Occupational Safety and Health, and Mental Health Awareness, on 10-11 October 2023, respectively. Both activities were held at the Lopez Convention Hall.

The aforementioned seminars were participated in by more than 100 BSWM employees and personnel. These activities were conducted by the Trainovate (an OSHC Accredited Training Provider), through interactive lectures, discussions, and workshops. Resource Speakers were Mr. Dennis Napule – for the Mandatory Eight (8)-hour Occupational Safety and Health, and Mr. Raymundo De Vera.

These efforts of the DA-BSWM are in compliance with the CSC-DOH-DOLE Joint Memorandum Circular no. 1, S. 2020, which aims to protect all government employees from the hazards of injury, sickness, or death, and to promote mental wellness.
