The DA-Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) through its National Soil and Water Resources Research and Development Center for Hillyland Pedo-Ecological Zone (NSWRRDC HILLPEZ) supplemented the Malacañang’s vegetable garden with additional planting materials last 30 January 2024.

The team spearheaded by Mr. Roosbelt P. Creencia (Senior Science Research Specialist), together with John Mark M. Carneo (Agriculturist I), Roger T. Quilaquil (Admin Aide IV), Marlon V. Baratas (Admin Aide IV), and Jonie V. Gallo (Admin Aide IV), transplanted 96 tomato seedlings, and 96 eggplant seedlings brought directly from Tanay, Rizal to a total of 12 plant boxes in the garden.

Aside from this, the team also took the opportunity to visit the on-going construction of the shed for the Composting Facility for Biodegradable Wastes (CFBW) in the complex. This is to ensure appropriateness of the structure being constructed.
