In line with its goal of providing excellent quality and stable internet connectivity for the employees targeting a much efficient public service, the DA-Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM), through the Geomatics and Soil Information Technology Division (GSITD), forged a partnership with the Philippine Telegraph & Telephone Corporation (PT&T), via the BSWM and PT&T Signing Event for the Structured Cabling Upgrade, today, 16 February 2024 at the BSWM Lopez Convention Hall and Lecture Room 2. This event was for the Project “Upgrading of Data Communication and Interconnectivity of BSWM Local Area   Network. (Structured Cabling)”

Present in this milestone activity were: From the BSWM – Assistant Director Denise A. Solano; GSITD Chief Mr. Bertolio P. Arellano; Laboratory Services Division Chief Ms. Maribel R. Jalalon; GSITD Sections Chiefs Mr. Andrew B. Flores, Ms. Sharon De Vera, Ms. Raquel Granil, and Mr. Baldwin Pine; Building and Grounds Administrator Mr. Crisaldo C. Solano; and Information Unit Head Ms. Georgina Carmelle Z. Siena; and from the PT&T – President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. James Velasquez; Vice President for IT Service Mr. Anthony Jose; Solutions Consultant, IT Services Mr. Mervin Bunag; Jr. Solutions Consultant, IT Services Mr. Gabriel Jason Opemaria; Account Manager FBB Mr. Gerlson Trieste; and Marketing Coordinator Mr. Mervin Britanico. .

Highlighting the event was the signing of the contract by BSWM Assistant Director Solano, Division Chiefs Mr. Arellano, Ms. Jalalon, and PT&T President and CEO Mr Velasquez, and Vice President for IT Service Mr. Jose.

In his Message, PT&T President and CEO Mr. Velasquez underscored that they will do their best to be of service. Assistant Director Solano then emphasized in her Message that this is just a start of a great partnership of the BSWM and the PT&T in ensuring a good quality internet connectivity at the BSWM. She then recognized the GSITD for always aiming higher for the BSWM.

The BSWM Management headed by Director Gina P. Nilo and Assistant Director Solano constantly ensure that the BSWM is always towards continuous improvement; thus, their tireless efforts and support for the whole Bureau – with the end goal of providing benefit to the farmers and fisherfolk.
