The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM), through the Compost Production Implementation Team (CPIT), conducted the Inspection and Acceptance of various units of Composting Facility for Biodegradable Wastes (CFBW) and Small Scale Composting Facilities (SCCF) from February 19-23, 2024 in the Province of Bukidnon.

A package of CFBW includes one (1) rotary composter and one (1) biomass shredder. Fifteen units of CFBW were inspected and enthusiastically accepted by the beneficiaries from the City of Malaybalay (Luyungan  High School, Regional Crop Protection Center (RCPC), Sto. Nino Organic Farmers Association, Rullan Organic Farm, Apo Macote Agrarian Reform Cooperative (AMARCO), Malaybalay City Cacao Growers Agriculture Cooperative, IMDALSA Agrarian Reform Communities, Umanika Eco-Cultural Farm, and Malaybalay City Environment and Natural Resources Office); Municipality of Talakag (Balugto Hope Agriculture Cooperative); Municipality of Lantapan (Kibangay Farmers Association, Binahon AgroForestry Farm); and Municipality of Cabanglasan (Tagiptip Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association, Cabanglasan Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (CFMPC), Jaya Secret Garden).

In addition, one SCCF set, which includes  one (1) unit of Shredding Machine, two (2) Vermicompost tea Brewer, and fifteen (15) kilograms of African Night Crawler was inspected and accepted by the Malaybalay City Organic Farmers Association.

This Activity was headed by Ms. Marjorie Jean Tao of the Laboratory Services Division as the Inspector, Ms. Danisa B. Panis of NSWRRDC HIGHPEZ – Bukidnon as the Alternate Property Officer and Engr. Marielle D. Tabar as representative from CPIT.
